Timing and Scoring Issues Couldn't Keep Dixieland Speedway from Hosting Great Racing!
Last night at the track we experienced issues with the system that controls the scoring and timing. It has been determined that this system is in need of some repairs and updates to insure we give our teams correct timing and scoring. Our scoring team overcame the challenge and after a pause in the program, the only choice was to hand score and time everything.
Christina Weiss, her daughter Mallory and Kim Leis, did a tremendous job handling the pressure that kept the show going and turned a bad night into a positive and we were still done by 11:00! Great job ladies!!
"As has been our experience with the drivers and crowds here at Dixieland, they were generous and understanding tonight. We will do whatever we can to make the racing experience here as good as possible. The repairs to this system are on order and we have been advised that the scoring and timing system will be working by our next race on May 9," said John Hankinson the track facilitator.
